WEDDING HAIRSTYLE IDEAS FOR SHORT HAIR (ALLURE.COM)

Ya girl is droppin a little hairstyle POV w/Allure on these celeb looks to rock at a wedding...as the lovely bride or “get it girl” guest.

SOFT SPIKES

If this just happens to be the year you were brave enough to finally shave your head — and brave enough to take the plunge into a lifelong commitment — Zoë Kravitz's take on closely-shorn strands is both delicate and striking (and not to mention extremely easy to recreate). "This look is very playful and the soft spikes bring a carefree vibe to the look," says Pekela Riley, who calls it a "flirty bedhead style." She notes an off-the-shoulder silhouette works well since it accentuates both the hair and skin.

At the salon, "ask your stylist if you'll need any texturizing to keep the style low-maintenance, and how often they recommend reshaping," says Riley. "Because you'll definitely need upkeep on the shape of this look for it to stay pretty. Once it gets ambiguous outside of this length, it's not as flattering."

To style, use the Design Essentials Almond & Avocado Curl Enhancing Mousse "because you need the viscosity to wrap the hair flat and smooth it down," she says. Follow with a texture paste (we love the Oribe Fiber Groom Elastic Texture Paste) to create separation and a piecey look with movement.

NEAT & CLEAN

For the premiere of Rough Night in New York City, Scarlett Johansson parted her hair deep and on the side, then slicked it down for a glossy, shiny finish. This benefit of this minimalistic look is: "It creates balance and doesn't compete with fashion elements," says hairstylist Pekela Riley. The simplicity of this hairstyle complements embellished garments with high necklines, like the actor's metallic gown here.
